FIRESIDE CHAT: DESIGNING A CAREER IN BIOMIMICRY

Hello!

The faculty of the BMY program is excited to announce a new “initiative” or offering for BMY students. We will be hosting multiple “fireside chats” throughout the year as a way to connect synchronously to talk about topics related to biomimicry and the program. These events will be offered live and hosted by one or more faculty and will have a theme based on what’s current or topics we’ve heard arise amongst the student body.

For now, the timing is open and variable based on need/interest/availability/capacity of the hosts. Should demand and interest grow, we will see about formalizing these in a more predictable fashion.

All Fireside Chats will be recorded, with recordings posted here for those who aren’t able to attend. There may or may not be break-out rooms for deeper discussion, depending on the topic and number of attendees. These breakout spaces will not be recorded.

Our first Fireside Chat is scheduled for August 17th at 9AM Mountain time with myself and Mark Dorfman and possibly Seth GaleWyrick. The topic is Designing a Career in Biomimicry. Here is the zoom link: https://biomimicry.zoom.us/j/88424549752Links to an external site.

Spread the word, and I hope to see you there.

Warmly,

Dayna
